I think it was in the 80′s that someone (thatcher?) declared that
lunch is for wimps.

 I never believed that then and certainly dont believe it now. Lunch is
having time to yourself. During the week I like nothing better than
getting out to Prett or (as now) Cafe Nero and spending time away from
work to think and have some time alone.

 Work these days tends to focus on teams and collaboration and open
plan offices and being there for customers. Having that little bit of
space and time to oneself is a real luxury that should not be allowed
to get lost in the throng of everyday things.

 Never underestimate the healing power of a sandwich (egg) cake and
coffee. Do your self a favor now… Go to lunch.
